Privacy Policy
Last updated: [DATE THIS POLICY TAKES EFFECT]
Keys99 lists new residential projects and helps home buyers get in touch with the people selling them. To do that we handle some personal data. This policy sets out what we collect, why, who sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
1. Who we are
Keys99.com ("Keys99", "we", "us") is operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS], India.
For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below, and you are the Data Principal.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- When you send an enquiry about a project, request a site visit, or before we connect you to the project expert by WhatsApp or phone: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address (optional), preferred configuration (for example "2 BHK"), your preferred visit date and time if you request a visit, and any message you write.
- Messages you send through the chat assistant on the site, where it is available.
- If you create an account or submit a listing, where those features are available: the details you enter, such as your name, contact details and property information.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data your browser sends with every request, such as IP address, browser type, device type and operating system, which our hosting and service providers may log.
- Projects you save to favourites and projects you recently viewed. These are stored in your own browser (see section 6) and are not sent to us.
- How you arrived at the site: the first page you visited, the website that linked you to us (for example google.com, without any search terms) and any campaign tags on the link you followed. This is kept in your browser and sent to us only together with an enquiry you submit (see section 6).
We do not collect financial account details, government identifiers such as Aadhaar or PAN, or any special category data through this website.
3. How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and put you in touch with the people selling the project you asked about.
- To show you projects and let you search, filter and save them.
- To keep the site secure and to detect fraudulent or abusive use.
- To improve the site, for example by finding pages that fail or searches that return nothing useful, and by learning which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Your consent
We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit an enquiry (or, where available, create an account or submit a listing), and for the certain legitimate uses permitted under the Act.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to our Grievance Officer below. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out, and may mean we can no longer provide parts of the service. For example, we cannot follow up on an enquiry without using your contact details.
5. Who we share it with
This is the part worth reading closely. When you send an enquiry about a project, your name, contact details and message are seen by the Keys99 team and by the agent assigned to that project, and may be passed to the project's developer, so that you can be contacted about it. That is the purpose of the enquiry and cannot be separated from it.
We also rely on these service providers:
- Supabase: our database and file storage provider, which stores enquiries and project data.
- [HOSTING PROVIDER, e.g. Hostinger]: which serves this website.
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr: which deliver the site's fonts and code libraries to your browser and therefore receive your IP address.
- YouTube, Facebook and Instagram: where a project page embeds a video from these services, they may collect data under their own policies when the video loads or plays.
- Law enforcement or regulators: where we are legally required to share data.
We do not share your data with advertisers.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's local storage to remember your favourite projects and the projects you recently viewed. That information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
We also use it to remember, for up to 30 days, how you arrived at the site (the first page you visited, the website that linked to us, and any campaign tags on the link). When you submit an enquiry, this is sent with it, together with the page you sent it from, so we can tell which pages and campaigns bring enquiries. It is not used to identify you, and is not sent anywhere if you do not submit an enquiry.
After you send an enquiry, your browser also remembers the name and mobile number you entered, so the form is filled in for you next time. These stay on your device.
You can clear all of this at any time from your browser settings.
Keys99 itself does not set advertising or analytics cookies. [IF YOU ADD GOOGLE ANALYTICS, META PIXEL OR ANY OTHER TRACKING TOOL, NAME IT HERE]
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries: for [N] months, so that follow-ups and disputes can be handled.
- Account data, where accounts are available: for as long as your account is open, and for [N] months after you close it.
- Listings you submit, where available: for as long as they are published, and in our records for [N] months afterwards.
When data is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, and no legal obligation requires us to keep it, we delete it.
8. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and how it has been processed.
- Ask us to correct data that is wrong, or complete data that is missing.
- Ask us to erase your data, where we are not required to keep it.
- Withdraw consent you previously gave.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated.
- Raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied.
To exercise any of these, write to the Grievance Officer below. We will respond within [N] days.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to enquiry and project data is restricted by database-level security rules, so visitors can read only published projects and can never read other people's enquiries.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as the Act requires.
10. Children
Keys99 is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly process the personal data of children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact the Grievance Officer and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be notified on the site.
